Pete was asked by James, the son of the late great John Stanley, to accept his dad's Eisner Hall Of Fame award at the 2004 San Diego Comicon on behalf of the Stanley family. Which Pete humbly did, and being a big John Stanley fan, was pleased to see the man honored by his peers in that way and honored to play a tiny part in the event.
